About MyDataWiz

MyDataWiz was created to solve the problem of documenting, consistently naming and using data sets across all the software components that ingest, transform, transport and analyze data. Today's data systems are typically complex, layered, dispersed and maintained across many teams. This obfuscation creates a difficult system to discover, trace, debug, maintain and trace origins of data, defocusing engineers from data models, and business logic to manipulation of data, and pedantics of handling. Engineers maintaining the components have intimate working knowledge of their respective ecosystem, but have limited scope in analyzing and validating the entire data set across all components.

MyDataWiz provides the necessary infrastructure and process to make the complex and opaque system transparent and navigable. Providing drill down access to allow all teams to participate, drive consistency, and correctness across their entire ecosystem in a incremental manner, as code is checked in and modified. Engineering, Customer Success or External teams can create complete data dictionaries, and provide advanced features like change notification and deprecation to their audiences.
